ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A local Guilderland High School grad wasting no time getting his future started. Seventeen-year-old Mateo Sánchez cooking up a storm with a passion. Just one week after graduating high school, the ambitious teen set up a Hispanic-inspired café bearing his name—Café TEO."It feels amazing and just sharing it with people is, like, one of my favorite things," he says in an interview with NEWS10's Mikhaela Singleton.Mateo opening up shop inside his mom’s event bakery business, Delicias Latina, on Delaware Avenue in Albany. Three weeks later, and the business is going strong even seeing repeat customers. BRENTWOOD, Mo. - The City of Brentwood's Board of Aldermen approved a nearly half-billion plan for major redevelopments along Manchester Road. The board unanimously passed a a $436 million redevelopment agreement with Green Street Real Estate Ventures LLC.Current plans call to redevelop around 77 acres of land on both side of Manchester Road between Mary Avenue and Hanley Road. The Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is hauling a moose spotted Wednesday morning in Greeley to a moose habitat in Larimer County.The large animal isn’t a typical wildlife spotting in Greeley, with only three or four moose relocations from the downtown area made by the wildlife department in decades, according to Kara Van Hoose, public information officer for CPW’s northeast region.“It’s not a common sight,” Van Hoose said.CPW first received notification that a female moose about 3 years old was spotted around 11 a.m. near 11th Avenue and O Street in Greeley.Weld County Spokesperson Jennifer Finch tweeted a picture of the moose a few minutes after 11 a.m. walking through the parking lot of the Weld County Administration building.The moose then began traveling toward 17th Avenue and O Street. The City of Denver is threatening to use eminent domain against a local church that has refused to sell it access to the only road leading into its new mountain park.In 2021, the Axton family donated its 448-acre ranch to Denver for use as the city’s 23rd mountain park and its first new mountain park since 1939. The land is in far northern Jefferson and Gilpin counties, just south of Boulder County. On Monday afternoon, a 51-year-old man from Carencro, Louisiana was found unresponsive a little over a mile from the Mount Ida Trailhead by park visitors hiking in the area.They notified park rangers via a personal locator beacon and began CPR on the individual. Park rangers responded to the scene and continued CPR and initiated advanced medical care. The man was later pronounced deceased.As is standard protocol the incident is under investigation. Park staff conducted recovery efforts via a litter carryout to the Mount Ida Trailhead. The man’s body was transferred to the Grand County Coroner’s Office who will determine the cause of death.
