CHICAGO — Two teen boys, 14 and 16, are dead after a shooting that happened in Garfield Park late Saturday afternoon, sources tell WGN.According to the Chicago Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot around 4:45 p.m. in the 100 block of South Homan Avenue. When police arrived, they found two male victims — one being 14 years old, and the other being an unknown age.Family members told WGN the second victim is 16 years old and the two boys are related.The 14-year-old was shot multiple times throughout the body, while the 16-year-old was shot in the head. Police said both victims were taken to Stroger Hospital where they were both initially listed in critical condition.According to community activist Andrew Holmes — who said he has been in contact with the family — the two boys have both died from their injuries. CHICAGO — A contracted bus driver was arrested for driving under the influence by Illinois State Police Thursday night after troopers noticed he was driving the Pittsburgh Pirates' team bus erratically following a loss to the Chicago Cubs.Illinois State Police told WGN that troopers were conducting a special event escort in Chicago when during the escort, 61-year-old Ronald E. CHICAGO — A man is in the hospital after a shooting happened aboard a CTA Red Line train near the Cermak station in Chinatown Saturday afternoon.According to the Chicago Police Department, a 21-year-old male victim was on a CTA train in the 100 block of West Cermak Road around 3:45 p.m. when he was approached by an offender, who pulled out a handgun and shot him in the calf.The 21-year-old man was taken from the scene to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he is reported as being in good condition. Both an infant and the gang member who allegedly abducted him from the West Hills area were located on Saturday night.The suspect was identified as Adonis Childress, 30, and the baby was identified as Jeremiah Montgomery, 11 months old, by the Los Angeles Police Department.No further details surrounding their discovery were released.Childress and the baby’s mother are in a dating relationship, authorities said. A verbal argument broke out around 8 a.m. between the couple before turning physical.The victim said Childress choked her and punched her several times in the face, causing multiple nose fractures before she lost consciousness.Around 10 a.m., Childress dropped the victim off at a hospital and drove away with her 11-month-old baby and her cell phone inside, police said.
