(KRON) -- Palo Alto police are investigating a hate crime incident that occurred at a downtown parking garage after someone allegedly wrote comments directed against people from India on Thursday. ‘Save Women’s Sports’ advocate Riley Gaines says she was attacked after speech at SFSU Shortly before 9 a.m., a public works employee discovered "offensive writing" inside the ground floor bathroom of a parking garage located at 445 Bryant Street. Police arrived to the scene and observed the writings, which were written in black marker, police said.According to Palo Alto police, the writings were directed against people from India, but did not specify further. 48 people displaced by Woodbridge apartment fire A destructive fire Friday displaced 48 residents at an apartment building in Woodbridge, Virginia, according to fire officials.Prince William County’s Department of Fire and Rescue said the fire impacted 14 units at the Woodbridge Station Apartments in the 1300 block of Eisenhower Circle. One person dead, two others hospitalized in Denver apartment complex fire DENVER (KDVR) -- One person died and two others were hospitalized after a residential fire early Saturday morning.South Metro Fire Rescue said it was a multi-family structure fire in the 2800 block of South Quebec Street, according to a post at 4:10 a.m.Firefighters "found numerous people trapped," and one adult died. A teenager and 12-year-old arrested in three murders of teens Two juveniles were arrested in connection with three shooting deaths of teenagers in central Florida, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said Friday.
