CLEVELAND (AP) — Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox and José Ramírez of the Cleveland Guardians exchanged punches at second base Saturday night, triggering a long, bench-clearing melee in the sixth inning that led to six ejections.Ramírez connected with a wild right hand to the face of Anderson, dazing the shortstop and knocking him to the dirt. Both benches and bullpens poured onto the field, leading to some chaotic moments in one of the nastiest fights in the majors in recent years.“It’s not funny, but boys will be boys,” said Guardians manager Terry Francona, who was ejected following the fracas.Francona wasn’t exactly sure what prompted the Anderson-Ramírez fight, but said that before the brawl, Anderson had been told by one of the umpires to stop jawing at Guardians rookie Gabriel Arias.Ramírez and Anderson likely face suspensions, and perhaps other participants as well. (CNN) — A bear believed to be responsible for breaking into more than 20 homes in California’s South Lake Tahoe area has been captured and will be relocated to Colorado, wildlife officials announced.The 500-pound female black bear, one of multiple bears identified by the public as “Hank the Tank,” was caught along with her three male cubs, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) said in a news release Friday. Hank has been blamed for dozens of home invasions, but DNA evidence showed more than one bear was responsible, CNN previously reported.State biologists plan to take the bear, officially called Bear 64F, to a wildlife sanctuary in Colorado, citing the danger of keeping her in the community. An hours-long standoff between police and a barricaded suspect continued in Charlestown Saturday night, with police on scene and the area blocked off as of around 11 p.m. Neighbors speaking with 7NEWS said they called police because they were concerned for another neighbor. Boston police then responded to the area around Caldwell Street where police said a man barricaded himself inside his home shortly before 6 p.m.With police responding, some neighbors said they came home to realize they could not park on their street. CHICAGO — A man is in critical but stable condition after Chicago police officers shot him after he shot at them during a foot chase.The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of East 72nd Street.Officers were conducting a narcotics investigation when the man ran from officers, Interim Superintendent Fred Waller said. HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Those who evacuated their homes Saturday due to the Oak Grove Fire burning near San Marcos can seek shelter at two churches in the area.Promised Land Church, located at 1650 Lime Kiln Road in San Marcos, and First Baptist Church of Wimberley at 15951 Winters Mill Parkway have opened their doors for evacuees to stay until they are allowed back in their homes. From then on, almost 100,000 refugees have entered the Empire State with around 56,000 still in the city’s 194 shelters and nearby streets. With around 44,000 migrants coming to other counties, local outreach groups describe New York as a welcoming state. With immigrants making up a quarter of the current population, asylees have been working towards finding their place in the area.Albany County residents found themselves welcoming in asylum seekers the last weekend of May to their surprise along with Colonie Town Supervisor Peter Crummey. According to Crummey, he was not made aware of the situation for the Sure Stay Best Western until Friday, May 26.
