Al nivel más bajo desde 2021: se desploman las detenciones de migrantes en la frontera LOS ÁNGELES- El número de migrantes detenidos que ingresaron en junio pasado a EEUU sin autorización se desplomó al nivel más bajo desde febrero de 2021 con menos de 100,000 extranjeros procesados, destacó este martes la Oficina de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza (CBP, en inglés).El mes pasado los agentes fronterizos de EEUU detuvieron a 99,545 migrantes en la frontera suroeste, lo que representa una disminución del 42 % desde mayo de 2023 cuando se detuvieron 169,244 extranjeros.El comisionado interino de CBP, Troy Miller, enfatizó en un comunicado que la disminución se debe a la implementación de las medidas del gobierno Biden tras el fin del Título 42, el pasado 12 de mayo, y la continua implementación de las leyes migratorias estipuladas en el Título 8.
