Hey there, fellow obsessive dog owner. Ever wonder what your beloved pooch is thinking? Of course you do. If they could only tell us what’s on their minds, right?Well, in “Strays,” an aggressively raunchy, gleefully gross and only occasionally truly funny comedy voiced by Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx, we find out. Turns out our canine friends are endlessly curious about why we collect their poop in little plastic bags. It must be for something really important, they surmise. But what? And why do we keep needing more? It’s actually one of the film’s cleverer jokes, and Foxx’s Boston terrier, Bug, has an opinion on the matter — but we won’t elaborate because it’s kinda gross. There’s a lot of gross, both kinda and mega, over this film’s 93-minute running time. Also a lot of poop jokes, and penis jokes, both canine and human. You get the picture. Although some of these pictures may stay in your mind for way longer than you’d like.“Strays,” directed by Josh Greenbaum with a script by Dan ...Chicago Sky trying to squeeze into playoffs after undergoing major changes

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Sky were on their way to their first WNBA championship two years ago and were in the playoffs this time last season after tying for the league’s best record. They’ve undergone major changes since then, with big stars exiting in free agency and their coach and general manager leaving last month.“Now, it’s time,” interim coach and general manager Emre Vatansever said. “It’s time to turn it around. And the team knows that.”The Sky are tied for eighth with the Los Angeles Sparks at 12-18 and are 5-9 since Vatansever took over. They’ve lost three straight after winning three in a row. With 10 games remaining, they have some work to do if they’re going to grab one of eight postseason spots and make the playoffs for the fifth year in a row.“There’s definitely been some ups and downs with the coaching change, injuries early in the season, people coming and going,” forward Morgan Bertsch said. “We definitely hit some adversi...49ers cornerback Ambry Thomas bounces back from disappointing second season

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Ambry Thomas’ first regular season in the NFL ended with an interception that sent the San Francisco 49ers to the playoffs. His second season ended with four straight healthy scratches as the once-promising cornerback struggled to find a role in the NFL after prematurely thinking he had arrived.“I just felt like mentally I wasn’t prepared, physically I wasn’t prepared,” Thomas said of his disappointing second season. “I kind of feel like it was given to me because I came off a playoff run my rookie year. But this year, anybody’s job is up for grabs. That’s how I look at it and that’s the mentality I took going into work.”Thomas has done just that so far in training camp and the exhibition opener, going from a player fighting for a roster spot to a potential starter on what is projected as one of the NFL’s top defenses.Thomas has been getting time at outside cornerback with the first-string defense this summer with Emmanuel Moseley moving ...Montgomery Co. police release videos of deadly police shooting of teenager suspected of multiple stabbings
